Original Sims PC Game Problem?

I have installed the sims deluxe edition, and whenever i try to install anything past that such as house party, hot date, superstar, makin' magic, etc. it downloads 95% of the way and then says "Error: Cyclic Redundancy Check" I have no idea what to do after this. Deluxe edition works, but no expansion packs. Help???
