Bird Safety questions, please help!?

You can go on almost any parrot chat and someone there will have had their birds killed by teflon fumes. They are now issuing warnings saying that the fumes are also dangerous to humans. Many people use nonstick cookware without problems for years but all it takes is one overheating of pans and your birds are gone. Anyhow nothings nicer than a nice set of quality cookware. . As for the febreez I don't know. You might get in touch with the company and ask them. They should have contact info on the bottle or a web site. Most companies are happy to answer questions if it saves a lawsuit.. Also most of that carpet fresh stuff is nothing but baking soda with a very strong perfume in it. For many years people just sprinkled baking soda on their rugs and vacuumed it up. Then this craze for perfumed room freshener hit and now they charge $4.00 for a fifty cent box of baking soda with perfume in it that makes me choke. Once you get your darling bird and fall in love with it you wont hesitate to throw anything away you remotely think will harm your little sweetie. Best wishes.
